'How I Live Now'

One of my Sunday boot sale bargains was Meg Rosoff's first novel 'How I Live Now'. I sped through half of it last night, and woke up this morning just desperate to continue. Unless I'm on holiday, reading is my evening pleasure, so I am holding off until later before I pick up the book again. Much as I'm dying to know the ending, part of me doesn't want to get there! Awesome is not a word I often use but today I'm going to use it. Awesome!

One of my favourite novels, I couldn't put it down either. My daughter's friend has read it seventeen times and can devour it in one sitting. It is so captivating. I feel like reading it again now!

I could easily have carried on reading until the end, but wanted to save the second half for tonight. Now it's in the back of my mind all the time - it has really hooked me.

What self-control! I haven't read that one, but I'll look it up on Amazon later.

Awesome!!! :-)

Oh now such a review has prompted me to add this book to my ever growing to read/buy/borrow by the end of 2010! Maybe I ought to visit my favourite Oxfam bookstore....

Take care

I find that there is absolutely no substitute for a good book. There is no other experience that could affect you like that; it's happened to me many times, epecially the simultaneous wanting to read on but not wanting it to end. Now I'm curious about this book!

I agree with Bazza.

I'll have to look that one up. I love it when you get so involved in a book that you feel sad to finish it.
