For Anne Tyler fans...

I devour anything by Anne Tyler and can't wait to read her latest book.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I adore Anne Tyler. She's one of the few authors whose entire works I've felt compelled to read after reading just one book! (Toni Morrison, Margaret Atwood, Thomas Hardy and Alice Munro are the others). :-)
Me too Hayley. Anne Tyler is such a wise writer. I also love Alice Munro.
Thansk so much for that, Joanne. She's one of my top favourites, too, and I've just finished The Begninner's Goodbye (lovely but not quite one of her best. I'd love to know what others think).

Oh now I'm jealous that you read it already! I have to find a copy asap.
I ADORE the Accidental Tourist but never really know the author or much about her - which I really like! I think that's where I have conflict with all this social networking - I get to know authors first before their books when I really in all honesty would much rather discover the book before the author or not really know of the author - it doesn't matter to me what colour or type of shoes the author likes so long as the book/body of work moves me! :-)

Thank you so much, Joanne. I love Anne Tyler. I read The Tin Can Tree recently and was so absorbed by it. She really draws the reader right in and I can never work out how she does it!
